What is HelpingHands?
HelpingHands is an app that connects people who need help with skilled helpers via video call. Whether you need tech support, language practice, or expert advice — a helper is just a tap away.
How do I create a help request?
Tap the "Help me" button on the home screen, choose a category, describe what you need help with, and submit your request. Available helpers will be notified and can express interest.
How do I choose a helper?
After submitting a request, you'll see helpers who expressed interest. You can view their profiles, ratings, and pricing before selecting one.
Is HelpingHands free to use?
Creating an account is free. Seekers pay per session based on the helper's rate. Helpers set their own pricing per 10-minute block.
Can I get a refund?
If a helper doesn't join the call or there's a technical issue, contact support and we'll review your case for a refund.
What do I need for a video call?
You need a stable internet connection and camera/microphone permissions enabled. The app will prompt you for permissions before your first call.
How is my data protected?
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never share your personal information with third parties. Video calls are not recorded and remain private to the participants.
How do I start receiving help requests as a helper?
Make sure your profile is complete with your skills and pricing. Then toggle your availability on from the home screen. You'll receive notifications when matching requests are posted.
When do I get paid as a helper?
Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect after each completed session. You can check your payout status in Settings > Banking.
