This document sets out the legal terms governing the use of the helping-hands.world website and related subdomains. The terms governing the use of the mobile app and the help services delivered through it are set out in the Terms (Seekers), the Terms (Helpers), the Service Agreement and the Privacy Policy.

2. Intellectual property

The helping-hands.world website and all elements it contains — text, images, videos, logos, icons, graphic elements, source code, database structure and user interface — are protected by copyright, trademark law, database rights and/or other intellectual-property rights. These rights belong to VDGT Consultancy BV or to the rightholders who have granted VDGT Consultancy BV permission to use them.

Any total or partial use, reproduction, distribution or communication to the public is prohibited without the prior written consent of VDGT Consultancy BV, save where expressly permitted under the right of quotation or another statutory exception.

3. Right of use granted to the visitor

VDGT Consultancy BV grants the visitor a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to consult the website for personal and non-commercial purposes. This right does not include scraping, automated data collection, reverse engineering or commercial republication.

4. Technical availability

VDGT Consultancy BV uses reasonable efforts to keep the website available and free of errors but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The website may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates or due to technical incidents. VDGT Consultancy BV is not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages or loss of income arising from website unavailability.

Information on this website is prepared with reasonable care but is provided for general information only. It does not constitute legal, medical, tax or other professional advice. VDGT Consultancy BV is not liable for damage resulting from reliance on website information alone, outside the context of an actual session on the Platform.

For obligations and liability in connection with help sessions, reference is made to the Terms (Seekers), the Terms (Helpers) and the Service Agreement.

6. Hyperlink policy

6.1 Links from the website to third parties

The website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for informational convenience only. VDGT Consultancy BV has no control over the content of those external websites and accepts no liability for their content, availability, privacy practices or conduct.

6.2 Links from third parties to the website

Simple textual or logo-based links to the homepage or to public pages are permitted, provided they:

  • do not use framing, deep-linking into secured areas, or other techniques that blur the distinction between the target website and the source website;
  • do not create confusion as to origin, endorsement or partnership;
  • are not used in a context that damages the reputation of VDGT Consultancy BV or the rights of third parties.

VDGT Consultancy BV reserves the right to revoke the permission to link at any time.

7. Notice-and-takedown for website infringements

Suspected intellectual-property infringements or other unlawful content on the website may be reported via [email protected]. The notice must include: identification of the reporter, the exact location (URL), the nature of the infringement and a good-faith statement.

8. Governing law and competent courts

This Legal Notice is governed by Belgian law. Any dispute exclusively concerning the use of the website (to the exclusion of disputes concerning sessions or help services, which are covered by the relevant Terms) falls within the jurisdiction of the Dutch-speaking courts of the judicial district of the registered office of VDGT Consultancy BV.

Consumers retain the right to bring the dispute before the court of their place of residence pursuant to article 18 of Regulation (EU) 1215/2012.

9. Changes and contact
